Other forms of exercise only strengthen bones, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Rebounder exercise has the advantage of promoting whole-body wellness. Rebounding tones the body’s internal organs, veins, and arteries, as well as every muscle and every bone all at the same time. But it doesnt stop there, you are strengthening every cell in your body with every bounce! And since we replace every cell in our body every 7 years (except neurons in the cerebral cortex) you are literally helping to create a healthy new you.
Yoga teachers never stop banging on about the “Breath”. But when you first get hooked on yoga it’s usually for the physical hit: it’s all about the asanas- the postures- and the invigorating energy you get from doing them. The “airy fairy breathing stuff” is often bunged in the back of draw labelled “Worry About it Later,” along with meditation and all that “chakra business”.
Detoxification in my opinion is poorly understood. People have read about the master cleanse, juice detoxes and fasting; these become the ideas they associate with detoxification. In fact detoxification happens everyday and you are much better served understanding the everyday stuff rather than trying to solve it every six months or once a year by going on a detox. While I think detoxes when done correctly can be of use, most are wholly inadequate and actually make things worse by not focusing on the individual and what they really need.

No matter who you are or how fit you are everyone reaches plateaus when it comes to achieving fitness and weight goals. You start out all guns blazing, find a diet and exercise routine that works for you, you are making great progress and then bam…… you hit plateau.
It’s official, I’ve been missing out. I’ve avoided dance based classes for years, ever since that time in aerobics where when everyone was going left and I was going right, they were up and I was down – an hour of pure humiliation. I thought Dancefit would be the same, so whatever made me go this morning I just don’t know.
With summer around the corner, the temptation is to take up exercise to help you look better. Please avoid choosing exercise for this reason; instead go with something you actually like doing. It will mean that in a couple of months when the warm weather disappears you will continue to keep it up, rather than banishing it until next Spring when you feel guilty again about not having that ‘bikini body’.
