Open up those Hips

I took Naomi’s 1pm Sunday yoga class for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it felt so good to spend time properly stretching out my hips and hip flexors. Michelle Lafortune has startedĀ incorporatingĀ a lot more stretching into her reformer Pilates classes too because she has noticed that we hold a lot of tension there whether we mean to or not when we work out. Classes like yoga, Pilates or Bend it like Baribe are perfect for relieving the tension and helping to create long lean muscles.

Michelle also suggests trying the pigeon pose as well as the pose beautifully demonstrated by Emma above.

Flexibility and overall tone = yogaCore crsainezs w/ a little flexibility/overall tone = Pilatestest drive both if you’re only picking one there are plenty of google searches or youtube’s that have fitness videosI have to admit both are incredible workouts but in yoga not only do you get crazy flexibility but you get strong tight muscles while keeping the figure you want I do yoga and I struggle to last the whole class.. granted I workout for power in the gym and not endurance but still good stuff
